Students graduate from FBCA having earned the Distinguished Level of Achievement under the Texas Foundation Plan with Endorsements. Students have the opportunity to earn STEM, Arts and Humanities, and Multidisciplinary endorsements
Honors, Pre-AP and AP classes
Some of our classes include Pre-AP English, AP English, Dual Credit English, AP Physics, Anatomy, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP Chemistry, Dual Credit US History, Dual Credit Biology and Advanced Academic Topics.
Dual Credit courses
Dual Credit is an option that provides qualifying students with the ability to earn a college credit and a high school credit for approved courses. FBCA offers two options for dual credit students.
Option 1 is to take on campus courses taught by approved instructors through Colorado Christian University. This option includes US History (up to six hours credit), biology (up to eight hours credit), Bible (up to six hours credit), Pre-Calculus (three hours credit), Calculus (three hours credit)..
Option 2 is to take up to twelve hours of English credit through San Jacinto College, taught on their Central Campus. Students may also enroll in approved SJC courses for additional dual credit or as Early Admission College students as their schedule permits.
FBCA students participate in several ACSI and TAPPS sponsored competitions with other private and public schools. Some of the academic competitions and activities include Mock Trial/Mock Legislature, Model UN, Texas History Day, Euro Challenge, World Affairs Council, TAPPS Science, Math, Social Studies, Current Events, Writing, Speaking and Lincoln-Douglas Debates, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, and Speech Meet.
