Stanford Achievement Test 2017:
GRADING & SCALE
The weighted grade point system of 5.0 is used. It is based on students' numeric semester averages in all courses taken. Honors/AP classes are weighted with an extra point added to the GPA. Only classes taken at FBCA will be included in GPA determination for honors; however, all high school classes are used for transcripts. FBCA ranks only the top 10% students because of small class sizes.
The grading scale: A = 90 - 100 B = 80 - 89 C = 75 - 79 D = 70 - 74 F = 0 - 69
Students participate and have advanced in regional and State competitions for academics, fine arts, and athletics through ACSI and TAPPS as well as Euro-Challenge, Texas Youth in Government, Mock Trial, National History Day, and other events. On campus high school organizations include National Honor Society, Student Council, and Student Leadership Institute.
